Overview

If you are looking for an affordable laptop, HP has got some great options to choose from. HP 250 G9 is one of those options. With a decent processor, customizable RAM and storage configuration, micro-edge display, and lightweight design, it will keep up with your work and study tasks quite well.

Processor

HP 250 G9 is equipped with the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 1255U is based on the 10 nm architecture with this the 12th Gen CPUs see an average IPC gain of 19 percent the higher IPC allows the Alder lake CPUs more performance at the same clock speed. The TDP of this Chip as specified by intel is 15 watts and can go up to 55 Watts. It also has support for new faster DDR5 memory of up to  4800MHz and low power LPDDR5 5200MHz while also supporting DDR4 memory of up to 3200MHz and low power LPDDR4X 4267MHz. Other Key Features Include Intel Iris Xe Graphics 80EUs and support for USB 4 (40Gbps).

Performance

Thanks to the 10 cores, the multi-threaded performance should be clearly faster than the older quad-core Tiger Lake CPUs with 15 Watt (like the Intel Core i7-1160G7). The sustained performance will be limited by the TDP setting and thermals and therefore only short term loads. Thanks to the architectural improvements of the big Golden Cove cores, the single thread performance should be better than similar clocked Tiger Lake CPUs.

Body and Design

All of the above-mentioned components are encased in a Natural Silver chassis. It has a signature HP logo on the top, a full-sized keyboard, a separate numeric keypad, a spacious touchpad, and plenty of useful ports. Not only this, weighing only 1.75 kg (3.85 pounds), it is lightweight and portable. All of these details make it an in-demand entry-level laptop.
